Trinidad Earthquake Felt in St. Vincent

An earthquake in the southern Caribbean Friday, February 23, was reported as being felt from Trinidad to St. Vincent.
The Seismic Research Unit of the University of the West Indies in Trinidad reported the 4.7 quake occurred at approximately 10:48am local time near Port of Spain, Trinidad.
“The event was felt in Arima, Cunupia, San Fernando, Point Lisas in Trinidad as well as Tobago and Upper Hopewell, St. Vincent. There has been at least one small aftershock since the earthquake occurred”, said a report by the unit.
