Obviously, one map of particular genealogical interest, would be one from the 18th and 19th centuries showing the various estates on St. Vincent. We are still trying to locate one of those, but in the meantime we hope the following links to maps will help the researcher get an idea of where things are on the island.

The 1773 French map linked to below shows the various Parishes in existence at that time, which will likely be of some help to researchers. Due to copyright concerns, we could not place the actual map images here, but the links will take you directly to those images.

seeking information about Alexander and Grigor Grant, planters. Alexander, his wife Mary Leith nee Cameron and newborn daughter Caroline Jemima Cameron Grant (birth registered Glasgow 28 Sep 1856) travelled to St Vincent shortly after baby’s birth possibly via Canada. Mary, died en route. Shortly afterwards Alexander also died and his brother Grigor had charge of the baby for a while. He then arranged for a nurse to accompany the baby back to Scotland. She was brought up in Morayshire and Banffshire (have information about this). Looking for information on Alexander and Grigor, eg their deaths, where they worked, deaths at sea registrations – generally any information relating to them or plantations etc.
