ST. VINCENT PROPERTY RECORDS
The land on St. Vincent was in French hands until the English took control in 1763. A list of landowners from some of the earliest records in St. Vincent shows both English and French surnames, with a few which could be Spanish or Portuguese.
The list below was compiled from the book References to the Plan of the Island of St. Vincent, As Surveyed from the Year 1765 to 1773, by John BYRES, Chief Surveyor. Published in London in 1777.
