More Sea Passengers Visiting St. Vincent & the Grenadines
February 21, 2007 // 0 CommentsPort Kingstown is becoming a busier place. New figures released by the Ministry of Tourism, Sport and Youth show more visitors are beginning to trickle onto the island from the sea. Early numbers for the past year show increases in stay over trips, same day arrivals, yachting, and cruise ship visitors.
Tourism Minister the Hon. Glen Beache has congratulated his office for a job well done, and says while “the cruise ship industry is taking notice of St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” “there is still more work to be done.”
Minister Beache says two large cruise ships are coming to Port Kingstown on April 27, carrying more than 5,000 passengers.
