Parents – Joseph ‘Mas Joe’ Ollivierre married Caroline Wilkinson

GParents – Joseph ‘Pa’ Ollivierre married Mary Francis Smith

This is as far back as my research has gone. Does anyone have anything on ‘Pa’? I would assume he was born in the 1700′s but where did he come from? My best guess is a boat from France with Great Britian giving the family property rights around 1770 after the Seven Years War. I believe the property of the Ollivierre family was Paget Farm and the family cemetary was destroyed or built over by the construction of the Bequia airport.

MY grandmother’s name was Irene Ollivierre, she was born in Bequia and I would like to know if her name is anywhere on your database. My father was also born in Bequia, but went to Trinidad as a baby. Please help me with some infomation if you can. Thanks a bunch.

sorry it took so long to get back to you, shellene, but i was out of a computer. i know the feeling of getting to see the faces of people you’ve only heard about. this genealogical research is all about sharing. so many of us are related to one another and would like to know more about our forebears. let me know if there is anything you would like to know about. i have over 5000 names in my database. most of them are Vincentians and Bequians.

Hi Cheryl

This is so incredible. I spent about four hours just last night discussing the family tree of Molly Kydd Hodge, niece of this lady Jane Kydd. Molly was married to my uncle and lives in Anguilla, I showed her my research on the Hodge line and we spoke at some length on her father’s line, Kydd and Derrick. I decided to see if any had been done on the Kydd line and lo and behold find PICTURES of Jane and another of the three sisters, her aunts! I believe you are all family.

I would love to show her all the research available, and in fact believe I just commented to what I believe to be your post on ANCESTRY.COM. Congrats on your great work.

thank you so so much, you have no idea how much this means to me to see what aunt Jane actually looks like, she is my grandfathers aunt and had much to do with the upbringing of both my father Godwin Ollivierre and younger brother Gorton Ollivierre; after the death of their young mother. Over the years I have heard so much of this caring, kind, warm hearted woman who did such a good job of caring for both my father and uncle. Thanks again for giving me a face to go with the name I have so ofter heard during my younger days. I can also see a bit of my niece kristy in my aunt jane’s face.

Hi,
I am trying to find information on a Joseph Ollivierre or Ollivierra. I believe the Lintons from near Victoria Park were also descendents. I remember an Aunt Catherine. He owned lands above Sally Spring from the “Terrace” pit half way to Sion Hill.

His family came from Portugal? and he was the last one in the family to be born (he was born in St. Vincent)

When the family went back he stayed and had a big family.
