Dear Cheryl Hazell,

My name is Christina Maria Persaud. I am 17 years old living in New York. I am the daughter of Lind V. Hazell. She was the daughter of Stanley Alexander Hazell. My grandfather was the offspring of Hercules Hazell. To my knowledge My Great Grandfather told my mother that his father name was Daniel Hazell from Saint Vincent. I believe we are the lost family members of the Hazell family in Saint Vincent. Daniel Hazell came to Guyana and settled in the Berbice area. I recently went back to Guyana over the summer and my grandfathers sisters was telling me about a sister of Daniel came to Guyana looking for him or his son Hercules Hazell, but she happen to die before they could ever meet. Daniel Hazell married a Chinese nation woman in Guyana. I think they had 4 sons. My mother would know the rest. After hearing the family history I started research on the Hazell family in Saint Vincent and happen to come across your website. I would like to know more about our family history. Please excuse my family for never getting contact with any of you. We never known the rest of the Hazell family and we hope you understand. It would be wonderful to get in contact with the Hazell family of Saint Vincent. Please email at

Can someone out there tell me whether Ora 'Brownie' Hazell (nee Derrick)'s mother was Elizebeth Richards.

Also, did this Brownie Hazell have a daughter called Rosie Hazell, a son called Percy and maybe a few other children whom are not mentioned above.

Regards fron London
