I am looking for any information on the
De Freitas family. I don't know much about them except they may be from the north part of the island. My gt-grandmother's name was Emily (*Miss Joe*) De Freitas and she moved to Kingstown probably around the turn of the century. My gt-grandfather was George Corea (do not know where he grew up), also lived in Kingstown where he owned a dry-goods store (Corea & Co.). Any info would be great.
Thanks!

Hi I am trying to find the original family name of my great grand father. He was given a British name of Albert Davis though his mother and father came from India to work in St Vincent. They were not allowed to use their original Indian names. My great grand father was born in St Vincent about 1886. does anyone know how to trace original migrant names by using the name of the plantation owner ?
