BEQUIA BIRTH, DEATH & CEMETERY RECORDS
These birth, death & cemetery records are for individuals who were born or died in Bequia, St. Vincent or others who were born or died elsewhere with family ties to Bequia, St. Vincent. Found in various newspapers/magazines, the source, when known, is noted with each entry.
NOTE: Be aware that most of these entries were transcribed from old, hard to read newspaper articles, and there will be mistakes in deciphering some words and surnames, as well as question marks and blanks in places where a “guess” was not made. Also, spelling of some words has changed in modern times. Surnames have been capitalized for better reading.
The sources of the records below are British and American newspapers.

BEQUIA CEMETERY RECORDS
Bequia researcher Cheryl HAZELL has kindly allowed us to use the information below which names some of her Bequia ancestors.
The names here are from a memorial plaque constructed after their graves in an old family cemetery at Paget Farm, Bequia, were washed away following construction in the area, and the building of the airport.
Researcher and author Cindy KILGORE compiled the list of individuals from the Anglican church in Bequia and has kindly allowed us to use them here. Read about and/or buy Cindy’s St. Vincent & the Grenadines travel book.

Anyone out there familiar with the “Reform” estate on Bequia? It was at one time owned by Jean Marie Aquart and family. It was still in the possession of his heirs at the time of emancipation in 1834.
Any information on this estate, family or the Marucheau family, who were among the heirs, would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
